Unique tour through the collections of Modern and Contemporary Art of GAM Torino
The Civic Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art of Turin (GAM) is the oldest museum of modern art in Italy. It includes more than 45,000 works from the 19th century to current times: paintings, sculptures, installations and photographs, plus a rich section of drawings and incisions, one of the most important European collections of art movies and videos, an art library and a photographic archive.
The “GAM Torino” app allows you to walk through the halls of the museum, and to learn more about artworks, authors, and techniques.
There are four thematic tours that guide visitors to discover the masterpieces of GAM ("GAM in half an hour") and the most frequent colours in the artworks on display ("GAM In Color"). Moreover, you can meet the "Humans of GAM" that "live" at the Museum: children, men, women, and - why not? - even nudists. Finally, a tour that explains the most abstruse works of contemporary art, those that make you inevitably ask quietly: "What’s that?".
