HexProfiler creates a G-Code toolpath for a milling a hexagon shape on CNC mill
HexProfiler is an app for use on a 3-axis CNC vertical milling machine.The app calculates the toolpath that is required for milling a hexagon profile (eg. for bolts and nuts).The user inputs all the parameters and then presses the "Create File" button.The toolpath is created and stored in a text file named "Hex".This file is located in the "Documents" folder on the device file system.This file contains the g-code toolpath and can be sent to a PC via bluetooth,email,etc.From the PC the g-code file can be sent to the CNC Machine.The user has the option to edit the file extension from ".txt" to ".nc" as necessary.The toolpath file that is generated is for use on a CNC with a Fanuc controller.The overall effect is very similar to that of CAD/CAM systems,but limited to generating a hexagon toolpath.
