The Starry Night is an oil painting by the Dutch post-impressionist painter Vincent van Gogh. Peint en juin 1889, un an avant sa mort, il représente la vue depuis la fenêtre orientée vers l'est de sa salle d'asile à Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, juste avant Sunrise. Starry night is regarded as among Van Gogh's finest works, and one of the most recognized monuments in the history of Western culture.
